About Mimi Wohlberg

Mimi Wohlberg is a mixed media and collage artist who doesn’t just reinterpret reality—she reshapes it. Known for her bold use of texture, color, and abstraction, her work brings fresh dimension to themes of travel, Judaica, and the layered stories tucked into every piece. What starts as a spark—a photograph, a sketch, a fleeting thought—quickly evolves into something far more intentional, as she hunts down the exact materials, shapes, and palette needed to make it land.

A graduate of Parsons School of Design and a former interior designer, Mimi brings a sharp design sensibility and a well-stamped passport to everything she creates. Her collages are anything but ordinary, built from a dynamic mix of found and handmade papers, magazines, ephemera, Yupo, beads, and fiber—because flat just isn’t her style.

Her large-scale installations don’t sit quietly in the background—they define the space. You’ll find them in standout locations like the Jewish Chapel at JFK International Airport, the Hampton Synagogue in New York, and private collections from Tel Aviv and beyond. Each one is site-specific, handcrafted, and designed to leave a lasting impression.

Mimi’s work has been exhibited and commissioned widely across the U.S. and internationally—because once you see it, it’s hard to look away.
